Michael Dell, the billionaire CEO of the computer giant Dell, has once again caused a stir excitement within the Bitcoin community with a social media post dedicated to the world’s largest cryptocurrency.
Dell shared a recent interview on CNBC with BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, calling Bitcoin “fascinating.”
AS reported by U.TodayFink spoke about his Bitcoin journey with CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Monday. He said he was initially skeptical of the cryptocurrency, but that it took more learning and education to change his mind a few years later.
The head of the world’s largest asset manager now considers Bitcoin a legitimate investment that has a place in portfolios.
Earlier this year, BlackRock made headlines by launching highly successful Bitcoin ETFs, which have since broken numerous records.
This isn’t the first time Dell, whose net worth currently stands at $117 billion, has teased the community with pro-Bitcoin posts on social media. Last month, he even posted an AI-generated image of Cookie Monster gobbling up Bitcoin.
The community has been speculating about Dell for a long time potentially purchasing Bitcoin. However, now is the time to see whether the billionaire’s interest in the leading cryptocurrency extends beyond just social media engagement.
The tech giant became one of the first major companies to support Bitcoin payments in 2014. However, due to insufficient demand, this payment option was later abandoned by Dell.
