Charles Hoskinson, founder of the Cardano blockchain, posted a tweet about the continued expansion of artificial intelligence. He launched a survey about artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies on his official X account.
The Cardano community, however, was surprised by this idea, posting multiple responses to express their reaction.
“Artificial intelligence is b[l]deriving reality from fantasy”
The Cardano founder tweeted that the rapid and widespread diffusion of artificial intelligence is “b[l]deriving reality from fantasy.” Therefore, Hoskinson launched a poll to ask his large community of followers on Platform
The answer options are as follows: “yes” (voted by 19% of the participants), “super yes” (received 16.1% of the votes so far), “yes, but Caddle Daddy” (29.2% of the votes ) and finally “no”: 35.6% of those interviewed chose this option. Overall, 3,554 X users took part in this joke survey. The tweet has received 59,000 views so far.
First Spanish social media influencer generated by artificial intelligence
Hoskinson added a link to his post X, which leads to a YouTube short film about a social media influencer and an AI-generated model.
This AI-created girl has pink hair, supposedly earns $11,000 a month, and goes by the name Aitana Lopez. Her Instagram account says she is 25 years old and lives in Barcelona. She posts content on her Instagram profile every day and now has a fan base of 181,000 followers.
Aitana was created by a Spanish advertising agency using artificial intelligence and PhotoShop. Every week, a team of creators gathers to discuss what photos Aitana will post and what new location she will travel to next. The aforementioned $11,000 per month is the money the agency brings in from advertising brands that come to them, especially those who can’t afford large advertising campaigns.
AI warning from Hoskinson
In December 2023, Charles Hoskinson issued a grim prediction about scammers who will widely use artificial intelligence to defraud cryptocurrency holders in the future. He reacted this way when he saw a deepfake video of himself (generated by artificial intelligence) promising users an ADA freebie.
In the tweet, Hoskinson stressed that he expects artificial intelligence to become so powerful that it will be difficult to distinguish fake from real.
