Cryptocurrencies appear unaffected by CrowdStrike’s global outages
Cryptocurrency firms have apparently been unaffected by the CrowdStrike software update, which has caused major disruption to banks, airports and media outlets around the world.
CrowdStrike is a cloud-based cybersecurity software that works to prevent viruses and hackers. Today it released an update that as they say caused Windows software to crash with the so-called “blue screen of death”.
However, much of the cryptocurrency industry appears to have been unscathed. Binance, Worldcoin, Tools for Humanity, and the Algorand Foundation have all told Protos they were unaffected by the outage.
A Kraken spokesperson later told Protos that the CrowdStrike outage also had no impact on the service.

CrowdStrike CEO explains scale of disruption.

Protos has reached out to several cryptocurrency mining firms, exchanges, token projects, and blockchain companies to assess the impact of the CrowdStrike outages and will update this article if we hear back.
So far, we have not received any updates from Coinbase, Solana, Bitfinex, Arkham, Bybit, Breadcrumbs, Argo Blockchain, Riot Platforms, and Marathon Digital Holdings.
Crowd strike statements the interruptions are it is not the result of a cyber attackadding that they had identified the source of the problem and implemented a solution.
