Innovative entrepreneur Elon Musk made another strong statement criticizing OpenAI and its flagship AI product ChatGPT.
His tweet sparked a heated discussion within the X community, in which numerous crypto accounts took part. Among them was a prominent representative of the XRP Army and a high-ranking official of the Shiba Inu team.
Extraordinary warning from Elon Musk’s AI
Elon Musk reminded the community of the incident between actress Scarlett Johansson and OpenAI. The X boss cited a tweet from a member of the Dogecoin and X teams who uses the handle “DogeDesigner” (@cb_doge).
This user X tweeted that OpenAI basically cloned Scarlett Johansson’s voice and used it despite her refusal to license her voice to the company. OpenAI asked her to be one of her voices, called “Sky”, for her new artificial intelligence system. This choice was based on Johansson’s role as her female AI assistant in the film “Her Her” starring Joaquin Phoenix. The actress threatened Sam Altman’s company with legal action.
@cb_doge concluded that if OpenAI did this to Scarlett Johansson, it could behave similarly with user data collected from phones where ChatGPT will be installed. He was presumably referring to Apple devices. It was previously reported that Apple and OpenAI have collaborated to integrate the aforementioned AI product into Apple’s operating systems across all its devices.
SHIB and XRP communities react to Musk’s tweet
XRP enthusiast @XRPcryptowolf has suggested that Elon Musk start creating “Phone X”. Lucie, marketing manager for the SHIB team, also responded in the comments, posting an animated GIF that she says “exactly.”
In a tweet posted Monday, Elon Musk threatened to ban Apple devices from all of his companies (even visitors) if OpenAI’s ChatGPT was integrated with Apple devices.
Musk expects that OpenAI will steal user data from iPhones, Macs and other Apple devices and use them in a way that gadget owners won’t like. He also criticized Apple for not being able to invent its own artificial intelligence, but for using Sam Altman’s product instead. However, Community Notes corrected Musk’s tweet, pointing out that Apple is launching its own AI product and integrating ChatGPT on its devices.
