RippleX made a groundbreaking announcement that is set to boost the blockchain community in Japan and Korea.
In a recent tweet, RippleX announced the opening of the XRPL Japan and Korea Fund, inviting companies, developers, and community members involved in the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to apply.
The XRPL Japan and Korea Fund is part of Ripple’s commitment of one billion XRP to provide financial, technical, and business support to developers, announced in March 2022. This initiative demonstrates a significant commitment to fostering innovation and growth in the XRPL ecosystem.
In a new tweet, RippleXRipple’s team committed to supporting the growth and development of the XRP Ledger, said that the XRPL Japan and Korea Fund is now open to applications from companies, developers, and members of the XRPL community.
Launched in June by Ripple, the XRP Japan and South Korea Fund aims to drive blockchain innovation in the two markets and will support corporate partnerships, developer grants, startup investments, and community growth.
Ripple focuses on Asia-Pacific
THE XRPLL Japan and Korea Fund seeks to spur a wave of innovation on XRP Ledger. The creation of this fund demonstrates Ripple’s strong belief in the potential of Japan and Korea as key regional hubs for blockchain innovation.
Ripple announced last year that it will continue to “prioritize the Asia-Pacific region for adoption of its cryptocurrency payment services,” as it is “one of the fastest growing regions.”
In April, Ripple partnered with Tokyo-based HashKey DX to provide XRPL-based supply chain financing solutions to the Japanese market. Ripple announced that the XRP Ledger would be used to issue official Expo NFTs to millions of guests at World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
